Check box filtering

I didnt see this feature available.. But what it you could take one column (well not neccessary just one), and create a checkboxes with all available values in that column... And then to be able to filter with those checkboxes?

I would love to know how to do this too. I have sorting working for a checkbox column, but don't yet have ability to filter on rows checked. Please do post if you figure it out.
