Need help on exporting option should preserve colors .. ?

Hi ,

I am new to this and i love this data tables website.
I want one feature or hack. I am using data tables that consist of data background with different colors. (ex: background colors).
While exporting using data tables default options (xls, csv, pdf) background color is not coming in the output.
can some one tell me how do i export file which should preserve the background colors also.

Currently this is not possible since the file that is being exported is really just a CSV UTF-16LE file. Adding colours would require it to export a real XLS file. That is possible, but it will take a significant amount of time to create (i.e. it isn't trivial). If anyone is interested in sponsoring that work, please do get in touch!
