I already downloaded Editor Trial Version and follow the installation process on http://editor.datatables.net/tutorials/installing. But when I'm running http://localhost/DataTables/extras/examples/php/join.php. The error comes out:
{ "sError": "The Join class is not available in the trial version of Editor. A license for Editor, including full source, can be purchased from http://editor.datatables.net ."}
My question is: can the example of editor trial version run ? or we must buy the license ? thanks

    Hi,

    Absolutely the trial version of Editor will run - you've picked more or less the only example that won't in the trial. The other examples (other than the self join one) should all work. The Join class in not included in the trial version but it is available once purchased.

    I just downloaded the current trial and get an error message, when I run the index.html:
DataTable warning (table id = 'example'):
    DataTables warning: JSON data from server could not be parsed. This is caused by a JSON formatting error.
So far I did not install the database connection and the database content, I hoped I would get around this to get a first impression. Might this be the cause?

    Regards,
    Hans

    That is correct - a database is typically required to use Editor. There is the localStorage example which will work without a database however: http://editor.datatables.net/release/DataTables/extras/Editor/examples/localstorage.html .
