fnfilter on alphanumeric column

My column contains either "TBD", "1","2", or "3". When I set fnFilter = "TBD" it filters fine. When I set fnFilter = "1", it ignores me. Does anyone know what's happening?

Thanks
Doug

    Hi Doug,

Does the table contain "1" in the rows which do not have 1 in this column (including in the html)? Remember that this is a global search, so if "1" occurs anywhere in a single row, then it will be classed as matching. You could use individual column filtering if you wish.

    Allan,

You are brilliant! I knew the search was global but it didn't sink in my brain that the other columns DO contain a "1". I will use the individual column sorting like you said.

    Thanks
    Doug
