Bug in version number usage

Hi there,

this is some nitpicky feedback on version numbers, but bear with me; it becomes important when upgrading automatically with tools like bower.

I upgraded datatables scroller from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2. It stopped working with datatables 1.9.1, but worked again with datatables 1.10.1.

According to the most common version numbering method (Linux kernel, Debian, ...), an upgrade from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2 should contain only bugfixes, and no changes in features or dependencies, the implication being it is always safe to upgrade, while upgrading to 1.3 would imply changes that need to be looked at more precisely.

Of course you are free to use any versioning scheme you see fit, but using this standardized one saves huge amounts of time for everyone using your tools.

Thanks for your consideration,

Carlo
