How to set fixed date as filter (date-range)

Hi everyone,

I am using datatables with the columnfilter plugin.

Everything seems to work. So far so good,

What am I struggling with here is finding a way to filter a date column ( type: "date-range" ) by using the "todays" date by default (to show only todays results). Is there a parameter for "date-range" i can use to achieve something like this?
