Excel Export Button Disappears In Responsive Views (Possible Bug)

I noticed when implementing Buttons and specifically the Export to Excel button, in responsive views, the button disappears - is this by design?
I think this might be a bug, because on the regular Buttons demo, if you put the page into responsive mode (using Chrome's developer tools), the excel button disappears: http://datatables.net/extensions/buttons/examples/html5/simple.html
Any ideas why?

What device are you setting the emulation to? I've just tried iPhone 6 and Nexus 5 and the Excel button appears to be present in both for me.

Sorry for the late followup - oddly enough, in Chrome 48 using the responsive emulation, it now appears! I wonder if it was Chrome. I checked in Firefox 45 as well and it appears as it should.
