Can event be set on once it is set off. The behavior I see is I need to refresh the form to set the event back on. The event is preClose

Yep, the events, if set with on will remain and trigger again, though if set with one they'll fire only the once.

Take a look at this example, this has the preClose event, and it can trigger multiple times.

Thank you. I did figure it out, I was putting the on in the wrong place.
