The build can not be used in Magento 2 for example or any other requireJS project as we get errors like "jQuery.fn.dataTable.fixedColumns is not a constructor" even if if is bundled by the downloader.
Including only the single files (the core and the extension) does work.

Can you give me the URL to the specific file that you were using and it was failing please?

It was https://datatables.net/download/#dt/dt-1.10.18/fc-3.2.5
Others reported the same bug.
Thanks. I'm not immediately sure why RequireJS can't pick that up. I'll make some time to look into it.
