Column filtering breaks when a column is hidden from the grid

Iam using a data table grid which has features of add/hide columns using colvis & individual filtering

if all columns are added to grid the column filter works.
But if i hide a 3rd column from the grid the column filter fails for columns that come after 3rd column.

How can i fix this.
