IE 7 and IE 9 - increasing number of rows to display adds space b/t Header and Data rows

HI - My name is Frank. I am a DataTables and jQuery newbie. Does anyone have an answer for this issue?

In IE 7 and IE 9, when you change the number of entries to display, it not only changes that, but also
inexplicably adds a corresponding amount of space between the bottom of the header and the
data rows. For arguments sake, let’s call it 4 pixels. So, when I switch from 10 to 25 entries, not
only does it
display 25 entries, but there is now, let's say, 100 pixels of space after the bottom of the header row, and the
data rows are pushed down, leaving a blank space (the header rows stays where it should be). If I
change it to 50, it adds, let's say, 200 pixels of space and the data rows are pushed further down. Change it to
100 entries, it adds even more space and you have to scroll down the page to find the data rows.

Thanks in advance
