Can I select a predeterminate item, let say (A, B, C) if I want edit a cell

I am a novice using that tool, and my Englist isn't so good, but can somebody tell me is it possible to use editing preformat data in some cell has I explainned?

cell: State
Possible change: single, married, divorced, widowed
