For example: We have two panes and one table
Pane 1 apply filters in pane 2 and table
Pane 2 apply filters just in table
Changing filter from Pane 1 will reset the filter from pane 2

No sorry - the cascade option doesn't operate that way. As you say, when you select an item is the second pane, the first then gets refiltered. Perhaps we should change that - I can see how it might be beneficial. I'll need to consider it further and also see if we get any other requests for such a mode of operation.

I've been thinking about this over the day, and actually I'm fairly certain now that what you propose will be what I implement for SearchPanes 3. The current model has so many performance implications.
I can't say when it will be - but that is on the cards for some point in the future.
