Reponsive DataTable hide elements even when thereis a lot a place left

Hello everyone,

I need to use DataTables for a responsive website project, but the responsive option works badly on IE and Firefox. The main problem is that even if space is available, and enven if the displayed columns are huge and empty, some content gets relegated to the "pop-up" column that shows after a click on the + button.

I can't find how to fix this problem, which doesn't appear on Chrome and Opera. Could you help me?

What's more, I would like to know if it's possible to hide a particular row after it's displacement in the secondary column.
