Problem with using datatables - Tabletools in IE web control

Hi,

I am trying to use the tabletools plugin but am encountering an issue. It works fine in internet explorer, firefox, chrome etc but when I attempt to use it in an internet explorer web control I get a javascript error "Object doesn't support property or method 'clearText'".

Any suggestions as to what might be causing/how to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

This may have something to do with flash. This morning while opening the page, a flash update appeared and the page worked correctly. However, upon reloading the page the old problem reoccurred.
