using 'Server-Side data' along with 'Show and hide details about a particular record'

Is this possible at all?

I'm trying to pull out data dynamically so it can be searched, but I also want it to be able to have an extra 'drop down' box under it to display further information.

I've got JSON pulling out information (although, currently not styled correctly, but I can fix that) but the show/hide box doesn't work at all.
I wondered if there was a way of doing this already before I look into customising something, or has anyone does this already?

never mind! solved it with putting "fnInitComplete" into it and placing the function to initialise the drop down within it.
